FAQ​

How do I join my server?​

In 7 Days to Die:

  1. Launch the game
  2. Click "Join a Game"
  3. Go to the "Favorites" or "History" tab
  4. Click "Add Server" or search by name
  5. Enter your server IP and port
  6. Click "Connect"

Can I import my single-player world?​

Yes! Upload your save through the dashboard:

  1. Find your save in %appdata%\7DaysToDie\Saves
  2. Zip the world folder (e.g., "Navezgane" or your world name)
  3. Upload via server dashboard
  4. Extract to the server save directory
  5. Restart the server

What game modes are available?​

Choose your playstyle:

  • Survival - Standard zombie survival
  • PvP - Player vs Player combat enabled
  • PvE - Cooperative survival
  • Creative - Building mode with unlimited resources
  • Horde Every Night - Extreme difficulty

How do I install mods?​

  1. Download mod files (.xml or modlet)
  2. Upload via server dashboard to Mods folder
  3. Restart the server
  4. Players must have the same mods installed

Note: Major overhauls (Darkness Falls, etc.) require manual installation. Contact support for assistance.

What are the best settings for PvP?​

Recommended PvP settings:

  • Drop on Death: Toolbelt or Everything
  • Friendly Fire: Enabled
  • Block Damage: 100% or higher
  • Loot Respawn: 3-7 days
  • Zombie Speed: Jog or Sprint
  • Blood Moon: Every 7 days (keeps players active)

Why can't players join my server?​

Common issues:

  • Wrong game version - Update server or client
  • Password required - Share password with players
  • Max players reached - Increase limit or upgrade plan
  • Firewall blocking - Check port forwarding (default 26900)
  • Mod mismatch - Ensure all players have same mods

How do I reset the world?​

To start fresh:

  1. Go to server dashboard
  2. Navigate to "World Management"
  3. Click "Generate New World"
  4. Choose seed (random or custom)
  5. Restart the server

Warning: This deletes all player progress and structures!
