FAQ
How do I join my server?
In Satisfactory:
- Launch the game
- Go to "Server Manager"
- Click "Add Server"
- Enter your server address and port
- Click "Connect"
Can I transfer my single-player save?
Yes! Upload your save through the server dashboard:
- Find your save in
%localappdata%\FactoryGame\Saved\SaveGames - Upload the .sav file to the server dashboard
- Select it as the active save
- Restart the server
What's the recommended player count?
For best performance:
- Bronze Plan: 2-4 players
- Silver Plan: 4-8 players
- Gold Plan: 8-12 players
Larger factories (500+ buildings) may need the Gold plan even with fewer players.
How do I install mods?
- Go to your server dashboard
- Navigate to "Mods"
- Search for mods or upload .pak files
- Enable desired mods
- Restart the server
All players must have the same mods installed to join.
Why is my server using high RAM?
Satisfactory's RAM usage increases with factory complexity:
- More buildings = more RAM needed
- Conveyor belts and items increase memory usage
- Large foundations and platforms add overhead
- Consider upgrading if RAM usage exceeds 80%
Can I use experimental builds?
Yes! Change the game version in server settings:
- Early Access - Stable release branch
- Experimental - Latest features (may have bugs)
Note: Saves from Experimental may not work on Early Access.
