Quick Start​

Once Sons of the Forest servers are orderable:

  1. Configure - Set difficulty and settings
  2. Launch - Server starts in 2-3 minutes
  3. Join - Connect via in-game server browser

Standard (Survival)​

  • Full survival mechanics, resource gathering, enemy threats, death penalties

Creative​

  • Unlimited resources, no hunger, reduced enemies, focus on building

Custom​

Base Building​

Defend against cannibals:

  • Log Structures - Walls, floors, roofs
  • Defensive Spikes - Perimeter protection
  • Traps - Swinging logs, spike pits
  • Ziplines - Fast travel between points

Build Tips:

  • Build near water for resources
  • Create multiple exits for escape
  • Light up perimeter to deter attacks

Seasonal System​

Summer: Abundant resources, longer days, ideal for building

Winter: Scarce food, freezing temperatures, survival challenge

Backups​

Never lose your base:

  • Auto-Save - Every 10 minutes
  • Daily Backups - Full world backup at 2 AM UTC
  • Download Saves - Export world files

How do I join my server?​

In Sons of the Forest:

  1. Launch the game
  2. Click "Multiplayer"
  3. Click "Friends" or "Browse"
  4. Find your server
  5. Click "Join"

Can I disable cannibals completely?​

Yes! Set Difficulty to "Peaceful" or use Creative Mode for zero threats.

How does winter survival work?​

Need warm clothes, stockpile food during summer, build indoor fire for warmth.
